Use the remaining weeks to recognize Latino contributions, connect with Hispanic communities, and consider launching initiatives that can extend well beyond the celebration.
MIAMI, FL — September 28, 2026 — Hispanic Heritage Month may already be underway, but Hispanic Market Advisors® has a message for companies and organizations across the United States that have not yet joined the celebration: it’s not too late.
National Hispanic Heritage Month runs annually from September 15 through October 15, celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose heritage traces to Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Spanish-speaking nations of the Caribbean.
And with more than two weeks remaining in this year’s celebration, businesses still have time to participate in ways that are meaningful, relevant and authentic.
According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau estimates, the Hispanic population reached approximately 70.1 million people as of July 1, 2025, representing about 21% of the U.S. population. The Hispanic population is now the nation’s largest racial or ethnic minority.
“Companies don’t need to wait until next September because they missed the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month,” said Sebastian Aroca, President of Hispanic Market Advisors®. “There is still time to recognize the contributions of Latinos, create meaningful content, engage employees and customers, and most importantly, use Hispanic Heritage Month as the starting point for building a longer-term relationship with the U.S. Hispanic market.”
Hispanic Heritage Month Can Be the Beginning, Not the End
Hispanic Market Advisors® has long encouraged businesses to view Hispanic Heritage Month not simply as a 30-day marketing opportunity, but as a platform for beginning or expanding initiatives designed to connect with Hispanic consumers throughout the year.
Companies can still take practical steps before October 15, including creating bilingual content, recognizing Hispanic employees and customers, publishing educational articles or videos, launching social media initiatives, supporting Hispanic-owned businesses or community organizations, issuing bilingual press releases, and introducing Spanish-language resources for customers.
Hispanic Market Advisors has previously outlined numerous ways organizations can participate in the celebration through its resources on launching Hispanic initiatives during Hispanic Heritage Month and 10 ways brands can join the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
But Aroca cautions that participation should go beyond simply adding Hispanic-themed graphics to a social media feed.
“Authenticity matters,” added Aroca. “Hispanic Heritage Month should not be about checking a box or communicating with Latino consumers for a few weeks and disappearing on October 16. The companies that can create stronger connections are those that use this opportunity to listen, learn and develop initiatives that continue throughout the year.”
Hispanic Market Advisors Clients Join the 2026 Celebration
Several Hispanic Market Advisors clients from different industries have already joined this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, illustrating how organizations can connect the observance to their own mission and the communities they serve.
Farmer Brown Insurance, an insurance agency serving contractors, business owners and consumers across the United States, joined the celebration by recognizing the Latino entrepreneurs, contractors and business owners who contribute to the growth of communities and the U.S. economy. (in Spanish “la agencia de seguros Farmer Brown Insurance“)

These initiatives demonstrate that participation does not require a massive advertising campaign. A meaningful Hispanic Heritage Month initiative can begin with a company’s existing expertise, employees, customers and community relationships.
There Is Still Time to Start
For organizations that have not yet participated, Hispanic Market Advisors recommends starting with something that is both achievable before October 15 and capable of continuing afterward.
A company might publish its first Spanish-language article, create a Hispanic Heritage Month video featuring employees or customers, distribute a bilingual announcement, introduce a Spanish-language section of its website, support a Latino community organization, or begin evaluating how effectively its digital presence currently serves Hispanic consumers.
The objective should not necessarily be to create the largest campaign possible before October 15. Instead, companies can use the remaining Hispanic Heritage Month window to take a meaningful first step.

Sometimes the most important part of a Hispanic initiative is simply deciding to begin,” Aroca said. “If Hispanic Heritage Month encourages a company to translate its first important customer resource into Spanish, improve the experience it provides Latino customers, or develop a Hispanic marketing strategy for the months ahead, then October 15 doesn't have to be the end of the initiative. It can be the beginning, explains Sebastian Aroca, MIB, President/Owner, Search Engine Optimization Strategist, Google Ads Certified.
From Hispanic Heritage Month to a Year-Round Hispanic Strategy
Hispanic Market Advisors® encourages companies to think beyond the observance itself.
The U.S. Hispanic market is not a seasonal audience. With more than 70 million Hispanics living in the United States, companies increasingly have reasons to consider how language, culture, search behavior, digital experiences and customer journeys affect their ability to reach this population.
A Hispanic Heritage Month initiative can therefore become the first phase of a broader strategy involving Spanish-language website development, Hispanic SEO, culturally relevant content, bilingual paid media, social media, public relations, conversion optimization and emerging AI-search visibility.
For companies wondering whether they waited too long to participate in Hispanic Heritage Month 2026, Hispanic Market Advisors’ message is simple:
There is still time. Start with something meaningful—and build from there.
